However, the movie, which was the major Bollywood release ahead of Republic Day celebration, bounced back this weekend.
Film critic Taran Adarsh wrote on X: "After a good trend on [second] Fri, #Fighter is back in the running, witnesses SOLID GROWTH on Sat… Expectedly, urban centres dominate, taking its biz forward."

Some interesting facts about Fighter
The action-packed film features Hrithik, Deepika and Anil Kapoor as the Indian Air Force (IAF) officers.
Apart from the bonding as IAF officers, Hrithik and Deepika are shown as romancing in the film, which has reference to the 2019 Pulwama terror attack where at least 40 Indian soldiers were martyred.
The IAF's response to the attack with an airstrike was also shown in the film.
Fighter is the first film where Hrithik and Deepika, two enormously popular actors of the country, shared screen space together.
Siddharth had previously directed Hrithik in two of his films, Bang Bang and War while Deepika in Bachna Ae Haseeno and Pathaan.
