Govt given 15,168 regular jobs in last six years, Ratan Lal Nath
Tripura government since 2018 to till date has given regular jobs to 15,168 persons including 1,413 TSR personnel, said Power and Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath.
Addressing a press conference at Civil Secretariat on Wednesday evening Nath said that apart from regular jobs, over 6000 persons are working DRW, contingent, part time workers, contractual and out-sourcing.
Giving details of the government jobs, Nath said that the state government will appoint 6,067 special executives and advertisement for appointment has already been published and recruitment for 1000 police constables are in pipeline and their physical test has already been completed. The government has also started releasing appointment letters for 1,980 Group-C posts through JRBT and soon the interview process for appointment of 2500 Group-D posts will start.
As per that data shown in the National Career Service Online portal, the state has registered 2,90, 944 job seekers including 1,12,310 under ‘general’ category, 58,960 OBC, 50,146 SC and 69,528 are from ST category.
He said that at present the state have 2,50,544 unemployed youths who are not engage themselves in any kind of work and any job seeker can enroll their name through 3 model career centres situated in Agartala, Dharmanagar and Kailashahar. Three more career centres are in Agartala, Udaipur and in Ambassa for physically challenged persons.
He said that two years of pandemic due to Corona, the per capita income of state’s people has increased significantly, which was Rs. 1,00,444 per capita income in 2017-18, but now it stand at Rs. 1,59,417, Whereas the state’s GSDP was 43,687 crore in 2017-18, but now it stand at 72,665 crore.
