With the election to the Tripura Bar Association scheduled for June 13, campaigning by candidates contesting various posts has gathered momentum across the legal fraternity.

As part of their election outreach, candidates of the Lawyers’ Development Forum affiliated with ruling BJP on Tuesday met fellow advocates during the court recess and sought their support and votes.

Addressing lawyers during the campaign, forum candidate Bidyut Sutradhar said the panel is contesting the election with a commitment to protecting the interests of advocates, improving court infrastructure, and addressing various professional challenges faced by members of the legal community.

He said the forum is focused on ensuring development, transparency, and effective representation within the Bar Association, expressing confidence that advocates would support their vision in the upcoming polls.

The election has generated significant enthusiasm within the court premises, with various panels and candidates actively presenting their agendas and promises to voters. A strong sense of interest and anticipation is evident among members of the legal fraternity as the June 13 election draws closer.
