Rahul Gandhi may visit Tripura in December
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi conveyed his greetings to the people of Tripura on the occasion of Durga Puja. He conveyed the message through the Tripura Pradesh Congress President Ashish Kumar Saha when Gandhi met him in Agartala Airport during his brief stopover again on Tuesday evening on his way back from Aizawl.
Congress Working Committee (CWC) and MLA Sudip Roy Barman, MLA Gopal Roy and other Congress leaders were present in the meeting.
PCC president Ashish Saha said they have requested Rahul Gandhi to hold a ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ like programme in Agartala and he assured to consider the proposal in December. Saha said they are working keeping eye on the Lok Sabha elections and organizing various programmes. Rahul Gandhi’s programme will help them in reviving the morale of the party workers in Tripura.
He said all the frontal organizations of the party are working and they are expecting a large number of members to join in coming days. He also said in the hills of the state, the party is getting a huge response.
