The State Bank of India (SBI) on Tuesday celebrated its 71st Foundation Day across the country, including in Tripura, through a series of events highlighting both social commitment and community service.

As part of the celebrations, SBI observed Doctors' Day at the auditorium of Tripura Medical College, where doctors were felicitated in recognition of their dedicated service and contribution to society.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Ravi Kumar Singh, Regional Manager of SBI, highlighted the significance of Doctors' Day and expressed appreciation for the invaluable role played by the medical fraternity in safeguarding public health and well-being.

In line with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, SBI officials also visited two old-age homes and distributed essential daily necessities, including rice, pulses, groceries and other utility items to the residents.

The relief materials were distributed among the inmates of Pother Sathi Old Age Home and Radha Gobinda Social Organisation.

On the occasion, SBI reiterated its commitment to social responsibility and affirmed that it would continue to undertake such community welfare initiatives in the future, as it has done over the years. Officials and employees of the bank present at the celebrations also reaffirmed their dedication to serving society beyond banking services.
