Successful implementation of government development programmes depends on government officials and officials also play an important role in ensuring people's rights, said Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha s while speaking at Civil Service Award 2023 programme at Pragya Bhavan on April 28, 2023.
The Chief Minister said that the employees of the state are very responsible. Due to this responsible attitude, it is possible to implement various public welfare schemes of the government rapidly. Everyone should work together as a family. Only then people will get the proper benefits of government schemes, said Dr Saha and added that the employees should do such work for which people will remember them in the future through their work.
Chief Minister said, this year the main idea of Civil Service Day is “Developed India”. This is very significant. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken initiatives to build a bright image of India to the world. Various programmes are being developed for that purpose. All these programmes are taking a successful role in empowering the people of the country by reaching the last person of the society. The Chief Minister said that the future of Tripura is very bright in the coming days. In this context, he highlighted public welfare-oriented schemes such as 'Prati Ghare Sushason' campaign. Through which it has been possible to give government benefits to the last person of the society. He said that at present jackfruit, tamarind, lemon, and pineapple produced in the state are being exported to foreign countries and abroad. Various projects based on bamboo are being taken up in the state. The rubber produced in the state is directed to various industrial sectors. In the future, initiatives will be taken to develop industries based on gas in the state. The Chief Minister said that today Tripura is not lagging behind any state in the country. Today, Tripura is progressing in all directions. Government officials and employees have a key role in making all this possible. They are the real felicitators of various schemes of the government. So everyone should work responsibly. Only then the goal of making 'Ek Tripura, Shreshtha Tripura' will be achieved.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Secretary JK Sinha said that the trend of development is continuous and dynamic. It is everyone's responsibility to maintain this momentum. Together we must deliver the benefits of government schemes to the last person of the society. He told the officials that in a democratic system, people's rights and aspirations should be kept in front. Chief Secretary highlighted the main objective of Civil Service Day. On the occasion, civil service awards were given under different categories to various government departments. Ranging from District, block, gazetted officer, and non-gazetted officers were awarded. Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha handed over certificates and mementoes to the awardees.
Special Secretary Dr. Sandip R. Rathod gave the welcome address. Principal Chief Conservator of Forest KS Shetty, Principal Secretary Punit Agarwal, Secretary B. S. Mishra were present at the programme. Secretary Abhishek Singh presented a video titled 'Unlocking Tripura 2030' and discussed in detail about it. Special Secretary of the Department A.K Bhattacharya gave the vote of thanks.
