A delegation of the Tipra Motha Party on Friday met the Director General of Police (DGP) and submitted a deputation seeking immediate intervention to restore law and order in the Takarjala and Jampuijala areas.
The delegation comprised MLA Biswajit Koloi, MDC Suraj Debbarma and TISF Town Committee Convener Uttam Tripura.
During the meeting, the leaders alleged that the law and order situation in Takarjala and Jampuijala has deteriorated over the last two to two-and-a-half months, causing concern among local residents.
The delegation urged the police administration to take immediate measures to restore peace and normalcy in the affected areas. They also demanded impartial and proper investigations into every reported incident and called for strict action against those found responsible.
